Frequently
Asked Questions
What is hypnosis?
Memories, emotions, past traumas and limiting beliefs live in your subconscious mind. Hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation where your conscious mind takes a backseat, allowing your hypnotherapist to provide suggestions to change those limiting beliefs and emotionally heal.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Most people are surprised by how normal it feels. It's similar to the feeling you have right before you fall asleep or during a daydream. It's been described as feeling like deep relaxation combined with focused awareness.
What is the difference between hypnotherapy and stage hypnosis?
The number one difference is intention.
Stage hypnosis is designed to entertain. Volunteers are guided into a suggestible state and encouraged to do funny, exaggerated things for an audience. The goal is laughter and spectacle.
Hypnotherapy, on the other hand, is a therapeutic process focused on healing and real change. The goal is insight and lasting transformation.
What if it doesn't work?
Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, and results vary based on readiness and the issue being addressed.
If progress feels limited, we will reassess and adjust the approach as needed. While no method can guarantee specific outcomes, each session is designed to provide meaningful insight and value.
Is hypnosis mind control?
Contrary to popular belief and what you see at the stage shows, you are in complete control the entire time. Although you are more open to suggestion, your subconscious won't accept anything that doesn't align with your values. You are able to end the session any time you choose. In fact its common for people to remain aware during a session and remember what happens.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Hypnosis isn’t something that’s done to you per-se. It’s more a natural state of focused awareness that you choose to enter. It requires willingness and motivation. You cannot be hypnotized against your will. If you are ready and willing, you are hypnotizable.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on your goals and the complexity of the issue. Some clients achieve meaningful results in 1–3 sessions, while deeper or long-standing concerns may require a series of 3–6 sessions or more.

What happens if I can't come out of it?
It is impossible to become "stuck" in hypnosis. You will either drift into a natural state of sleep or come out of it on your own.
